Spirit: Brandy, Rum or Whiskey

Title: Old-Fashioned Dessert Sauce for Fruit Cake, Bread Pudding etc.


2 eggs
1 cup of powdered sugar
1 T hard spirits such as brandy, rum, or whiskey


1. Separate the eggs.
2. Beat the yolks until thick and lemon-colored.
3. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
4. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
5. Fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the first mixture and blend.
6. Add the spirit.
